Who Can Apply?
The Young Nature Leaders Grant is open to individual applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Must be under 30 years old
- Must be based in Canada

- Must adhere to CRA spending guidelines for charities
- Only one submission per applicant is allowed
Employees of Nature Canada, as well as their children or relatives, are not eligible to apply.

Application Requirements
Applicants are required to submit one of the following:
- A two-page written essay, or
- A short video, submitted in English or French

How Applications Are Evaluated
All submissions are reviewed by a volunteer Grant Selection Committee, which evaluates proposals based on the following criteria:
- Potential environmental and community impact
- Level of public engagement and outreach

- Opportunities for involvement from Women for Nature members
- Inclusion of underrepresented or diverse communities

Successful recipients may be matched with Women for Nature mentors, depending on the project’s scope and location. These mentors can offer guidance, encouragement, and connections throughout the project lifecycle.
