Women Deliver is offering fully funded media scholarships for its 2026 Conference (WD2026), happening 27–30 April 2026 in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia. This opportunity is for journalists and content creators worldwide who want to report on gender equality, health, human rights, climate justice, or Oceanic Pacific issues, and may not otherwise be able to attend.
Who Can Apply
Media Scholarships are open to:
- Reporters, editors, producers, presenters/anchors
- Photojournalists, videographers, and broadcast teams
- Podcast/radio journalists; social/visual newsroom teams
- Freelancers with assignment letters
- Content creators producing factual coverage on social issues
Priority given to: First Nations & Indigenous journalists, creators from under-resourced communities, those with experience on gender equality or health topics, LGBTQIA+ people, persons with disabilities, refugees/displaced persons, and early-career media professionals.
What the Scholarship Covers
Successful applicants receive a full scholarship, which includes:
- Full conference registration
- Hotel accommodation (26–30 April 2026)
- Round-trip economy airfare
- Visa fees and related costs
- Per diems for meals & local transport
- Travel insurance
- Support person or guardian coverage for people with disabilities or minors, where needed

What is Expected from Recipients
Scholarship recipients are expected to:
- Participate in WD2026 and media briefings (including virtual pre-event sessions)
- Publish or broadcast coverage and share links/clips with Women Deliver
- Respect WD2026’s rules: code of conduct, embargoes, on-site filming/photography guidelines
