The Transformative Urban Coalitions Video Pitch Contest 2025 invites changemakers, community leaders, and innovators to share inspiring stories of how capacity-building is transforming cities. This contest celebrates collective action, linking local initiatives to national strategies and global climate goals, through the power of short video storytelling.
Inspired by the spirit of the Global MutirΓ£o at COP 30, the competition seeks 60-second video pitches showing how your initiative makes cities more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient. Whether youβre training neighbors, educating communities, or creating partnerships, your story can spark ideas and inspire others to act.

Participants must submit their videos in English, Spanish, or Portuguese with English subtitles (or provide a transcript). Each entry should be accompanied by a 100β150-word description explaining the projectβs impact. Videos should highlight people, partnerships, and actions that drive urban transformation and connect to the wider Global MutirΓ£o vision.
Applications close at 23:59 CEST on 24 October 2025. Winning videos will receive:
- First Prize: $800
- Second Prize: $500
- Third Prize: $300
The best videos will be featured at the 7th Capacity-building Hub during COP 30 in Belem, Brazil. Winners also gain exclusive access to an online capacity-building training on Transformative Communication to enhance their impact.
This contest is organized by Transformative Urban Coalitions, a partnership of UNU-EHS, IDOS, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities, IIED, and the Paris Committee on Capacity-building, supported by the International Climate Initiative of the German Government.
