The Global Eahou Immersion Cohort 2025-2026 invites local and global leaders to take part in an innovative learning journey combining virtual sessions and an in-person experience on Oʻahu. This unique program blends ancestral knowledge, technology, and entrepreneurship to shape a regenerative and inclusive economy.
About the Program
The Eahou Immersion Cohort is a six-month hybrid program featuring monthly virtual gatherings and a week-long in-person immersion with the public “Eahou Fest” in Oʻahu (April 27 – May 3, 2026). It explores Indigenous leadership, community-driven innovation, and justice-oriented solutions for long-term social and environmental challenges.
Why Eahou
“Ea” represents sovereignty, life, and rising up, while “Hou” signifies newness and fresh beginnings. Together, Eahou embodies self-determination, cultural grounding, and regenerative economic practices.
Program Highlights

Who Can Apply
The cohort is open to applicants aged 21+ who are cultural practitioners, technologists, entrepreneurs, organizers, researchers, or innovators working on justice, sovereignty, and climate-related solutions. Applicants may apply as individuals or on behalf of social enterprises (nonprofit, for-profit, or cooperatives).

- Native Hawaiian community leaders
- International Indigenous community leaders
- Global community leaders (designers, activists, healers, entrepreneurs)
- Breakout community leaders (partners and past grantees)
At least 50% of the cohort will consist of non-US citizens.
Areas of Focus
Participants should have at least 10 years’ experience in one or more areas such as:
Aloha ʻĀina, biocultural restoration, Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK), cooperatives, circular economies, food security, housing, land stewardship, data sovereignty, technology for social good, and Indigenous-led climate solutions.
