Temi Nkem Biography
Temi Nkem, whose real name is Temitope Nkemdilim Chigbue, was born and raised in London, England, by Nigerian parents. She was 21 when she entered the Big Brother Naija house in July 2026, and her birthday is reported to be June 23, 2005.
Although she grew up in the United Kingdom, she has strong Nigerian roots. Her father is from Ibusa in Delta State, while her mother, a Yoruba woman, hails from Ebute Metta in Lagos State. That mix of Igbo and Yoruba heritage is reflected in her name, with “Temi” from Temitope and “Nkem” from Nkemdilim.
Educational Background
Temi is a university student in the United Kingdom, studying Accounting and Finance. She has also said she is working towards an additional qualification in treasury. After winning the show, she confirmed that she plans to return to school and complete her degree.
Career Before BBNaija
Before joining the show, Temi was building an audience as a lifestyle content creator and influencer, sharing videos about fashion, food and everyday life while balancing her studies.
BBNaija Season 11 Journey
Temi entered the Big Brother Naija house on July 26, 2026, as one of 24 housemates in Season 11, the “Show Ya Sef” edition. She introduced herself as bold, vibrant and impossible to ignore, and promised viewers that she was bringing “luxury” and “spice” to the season.
The season was packed with twists, including the Gambit play, changing Head of House veto powers, two disqualifications and a voluntary exit. Temi survived 70 days of tasks, nominations and evictions to reach the finale alongside Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba and Tram.
She later admitted that she did not expect to win, partly because she had heard people say that housemates from abroad rarely win the Nigerian edition. Instead of letting that discourage her, she said she decided to simply enjoy the experience and be herself.
Winning BBNaija and Prize
Temi Nkem was crowned winner of BBNaija Season 11 at the live grand finale on Sunday, October 4, 2026. She won with 25.87% of the final vote, narrowly beating Aikou, who finished as runner-up with 23.68%. Sheba came third, and Bluethopia finished fourth.
Her victory earned her the season’s ₦160 million prize package, which included ₦90 million in cash, a brand-new Hyundai SUV and other sponsored prizes. She officially received her cash prize and car two days after the finale at the Big Brother Naija premises in Ilupeju, Lagos.
Temi is the fifth female winner in the show’s history, joining Mercy Eke, Phyna, Ilebaye and Imisi, the Season 10 winner she succeeded.
Personality and Hobbies
In her official BBNaija profile, Temi was refreshingly honest about herself. She described herself as confident and outspoken, and even admitted that she could come across as egotistical or arrogant because she does not shrink herself for anyone.
At the same time, she said one of her hidden strengths is being a good listener who gives great advice. Her hobbies are surprisingly low-key: golfing, walking, eating and exploring local food spots.
Relationship Status
Temi Nkem is single. Unlike some housemates, she did not leave the house in a relationship, and she has said she joined the show mainly to have fun and enjoy the experience.
Life After BBNaija
After her win, Temi said she wants to grow her career in digital media. Her plans include launching a lifestyle video blog, creating more content, and exploring opportunities in Nigeria and across Africa, while still finishing her university studies.
On November 3, 2026, skincare brand Extract unveiled Temi Nkem as its new brand ambassador. The brand welcomed her to the “Extract family” in an Instagram announcement, calling her the “Chakam queen”, a nod to the catchphrase her fans have adopted. The campaign shows her with Extract’s carrot and shea butter body lotion, making it one of her first major brand deals since leaving the house.
Net Worth
Temi Nkem’s net worth has not been publicly disclosed. Her BBNaija win alone brought her ₦90 million in cash and a new SUV, and she is expected to earn more from brand deals, endorsements and content creation in the coming months.
