Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

• Be a Nigerian citizen currently residing in Nigeria.
• Be a full-time first-year undergraduate in the 2025/2026 academic session at a federal or state-owned university.
• Have at least five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English, obtained in one sitting (WAEC, SSCE, or NECO).
• Score a minimum of 200 in JAMB UTME.
• Be aged 18 to 25 years at the time of application.
• Must not be receiving any other scholarship, bursary, or grant.
• Must not be related to any NLNG staff (spouse, child, ward, or direct relation).

How to Apply

Applications for the NLNG UGSS 2026 open on November 18, 2025, at 12:00 AM WAT and close on December 12, 2025, at 11:59 PM WAT. Follow these steps to apply:

1. Apply online via NLNG Scholarship Portal.
2. Fill in all required fields and upload:
   • Recent passport photograph (no glasses)
   • Copies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE results
   • JAMB UTME result and Admission Letter
   • LGA Identification
   • Birth Certificate
3. Eligible applicants will be invited to a computer-based Online Proctored Selection Test. Only shortlisted candidates will participate.
4. Successful candidates must submit additional mandatory documents as requested.
