The Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) Program is a prestigious, fully funded opportunity created through a partnership between the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Government of Japan. Who Can Apply

What the JADS Scholarship Covers

Successful applicants receive comprehensive funding, which includes:

  • Full tuition for the two-year study program
  • Monthly living allowance for the duration of the scholarship
  • Round-trip airfare from home country to host university and back
  • Health insurance provided through the host institution
  • Up to six months of post-graduation support for internships or advanced preparatory study
  • Research and thesis preparation grants (when applicable)
  • Coverage for computer literacy or language courses when deemed necessary for program success

Note: The scholarship does not cover family member expenses, extracurricular courses, unrelated training, or personal educational equipment such as laptops. It may supplement other funding, but cannot duplicate financial support from other sources.
