The Earth Prize 2026 is an international sustainability competition designed for teenage students who want to create real solutions for environmental challenges. With a prize pool of up to $100,000, this competition empowers young innovators to turn their ideas into impactful projects that accelerate positive change worldwide.
Who Can Participate?
The Earth Prize is open to students born between 2006 and 2012, currently enrolled in schools or educational programs. Participants can join as individuals or form teams of up to five members.
Competition Timeline
- Registration: September 1, 2025 – January 31, 2026
- Scholars Announcement: February 16, 2026
- Regional Winners Announcement: April 15–21, 2026
- Public Voting: April 21–28, 2026
- Global Awards Ceremony: April 29, 2026
How It Works
- Register Online – Students fill out the registration form to access The Earth Prize community, mentoring, and learning content.
- Form a Team & Share Fresh Ideas – Teams propose innovative solutions tackling environmental issues. Ideas may range from local to global projects.
- Receive Mentorship – University students and sustainability experts guide participants through workshops, Q&As, and one-on-one sessions.
- Compete for Awards – Outstanding projects progress through phases: Scholars, Regional Winners, Public Voting, and the Global Final.
Awards & Prizes
- $100,000 total prize pool
- 7 Regional Winners each receive $12,500 to bring their ideas to life.
- 1 Global Winner announced at the awards ceremony.
- Special recognitions such as Earth Prize Scholars and Mentors of the Year ($2,500 each) are also awarded.
