Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, is a Nigerian record producer, singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He was born on November 26, 1982, in Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria. He is the child of Collins Enebeli Ajereh and Mrs. Ajereh. His father hails from Isoko in Delta State, while his mother is from a royal family in Igbo land in Abia State. He was raised in Ajegunle, Lagos, and is widely regarded as one of the most influential and successful music producers in Africa.

Don Jazzy started his music career in the early 2000s when he co-founded the now-defunct record label Mo’ Hits Records with D’banj, another prominent Nigerian musician. Under Mo’ Hits Records, Don Jazzy produced several hit songs and albums that contributed to the growth of the Nigerian music industry. Some of the notable artists he worked with during his time at Mo’ Hits Records include D’banj, Wande Coal, Dr SID, and others. He produced hit songs like “Oliver Twist,” “Fall in Love,” “Booty Call,” and many more.

On 7 May 2012, Don Jazzy founded his record label, Mavin Records, after the dissolution of Mo’ Hits Records. Apart from his work in music production, Don Jazzy has also ventured into other business endeavors.
