The 8th BRICS Young Innovator Prize 2025 is now accepting applications from young researchers and innovators under the age of 40. This year’s prize is focused on Artificial Intelligence applied to public service solutions, aiming to support pre-market innovations that address real-world challenges in healthcare, governance, infrastructure, and other public sectors.
The prize will be awarded during the 10th BRICS Young Scientist Forum in Brasilia, Brazil, bringing together top minds from across the five BRICS countries.
Grant Value
A total of $50,000 will be awarded:
- 1st Prize: $25,000
- 2nd Prize: $15,000
- 3rd Prize: $10,000
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be under 40 years old by December 31, 2025
- Be a citizen or legal resident of a BRICS country
- Submit one original AI-based project related to public service
- Have a pre-market innovation (not commercially available)
- Submit all documents in English.

- Nomination statement (max 300 words)
- Project statement (max 300 words)
- Supporting media (videos, images, presentations)
- Details of previous innovation awards (if any).
