The Women in Film Entrepreneurship Hub 2025 is a groundbreaking initiative by the Kenya Film Commission (KFC) under the Film Empowerment Programme Cycle 4, launched in collaboration with GIZ through the “Strengthening the Film Industry in Kenya” project. This program aims to turn women’s creativity into thriving, sustainable businesses across Kenya’s film industry.
About the Program
The two-week residency will bring together 10 exceptional women entrepreneurs from Kenya’s creative industry. Participants will undergo intensive, hands-on training designed to boost their business strategy, leadership, and innovation skills across the film value chain.
At the end of the program, five outstanding participants will each receive seed funding of up to EUR 5,000 and enjoy continued mentorship from industry experts until March 2026.
Program Mission
The mission of the Women in Film Entrepreneurship Hub is to empower Kenyan women leading creative ventures within the film ecosystem. The initiative promotes inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability by helping women thrive in both leadership and technical roles across film production and distribution.
