The Wageningen Social & Economic Research (WSER) Traineeship 2026 offers talented graduates the opportunity to work, learn, and make an impact in the agro-food sector. About the Traineeship

As a WSER trainee, you will join a diverse group of professionals from various academic backgrounds to contribute to projects that influence sustainable food production and social development. You will gain experience in research, project management, and collaboration with leading organizations, including governments, NGOs, and private companies.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in economics, public administration, or data science by 1 March 2026
  • Have less than one year of work experience
  • Show a strong interest in the agro-food sector and sustainability
  • Demonstrate teamwork, communication, and innovation skills
  • Be proficient in English (C1 level); Dutch is an advantage.

Applications close on 23 November 2025.
Selected candidates will complete a digital questionnaire and participate in an assessment day on 17 December 2025 in The Hague. Successful applicants will begin the program on 2 March 2026.
