UNICEF Canada is excited to announce that applications are now open for its 2026 Youth Advocacy Program, designed for young people aged 13 to 24. This 10-month online program provides a unique opportunity to learn essential advocacy skills, develop leadership, and make a meaningful impact on issues that matter most to youth across Canada.

About the Program

The Youth Advocacy Program is a dynamic, youth-centered initiative aimed at helping participants become effective advocates and change-makers. Through interactive sessions delivered online, young people will gain the knowledge and tools needed to influence decision-makers, create advocacy plans, and champion the rights of children and youth both domestically and globally.

Program Duration and Schedule

The 2026 program runs from February to December 2026. Monthly core sessions last between 1.5 to 3 hours, with additional sessions available based on participant interests. Participants can expect an engaging and collaborative learning experience.

Program Delivery

  • Aged 13-24 and living in Canada

Experience with advocacy is not required, and the program is completely free. UNICEF Canada promotes accessibility, diversity, and inclusion for all participants.
