The ONE Youth Ambassadors Programme 2026 in the UK is a prestigious, year-long volunteer initiative for young people aged 18–35 who are passionate about global change. This programme empowers youth to drive action on critical issues like health, climate change, and development while challenging stereotypes about Africa.
As a Youth Ambassador, you’ll gain hands-on experience in advocacy, policy engagement, and campaign leadership. Ambassadors interact with MPs and decision-makers, participate in major events such as Africa Day and the UK Spring Development Conference, and contribute to campaigns that create tangible, real-world impact.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be aged 18–35 years old
- Reside in the UK throughout the programme
- Be passionate about global development and ready to commit to 9–12 months of participation
Programme Commitments
Youth Ambassadors are expected to dedicate a few hours weekly to emails, calls, and online activities, plus 4–5 full days for in-person events including:
- Launch event / Residential
- Lobby Days in Parliament
- UK Spring Development Conference
- Africa Day events (25th–26th May 2026)
