Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) 2026

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) 2026 is a federal government initiative designed to bridge the gap between talented Nigerian graduates and meaningful employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Supported by the European Union (EU) and implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the programme equips fresh graduates with practical experience, professional mentorship, and career-ready skills while addressing youth unemployment in Nigeria.

Each Fellow receives a monthly stipend of N150,000 over a 12-month paid placement, providing financial support as they gain valuable workplace experience and develop skills that prepare them for the labor market.

About the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme

NJFP is structured to align graduates’ skills with labour market needs and address structural barriers faced by employers. Through this initiative, the government and partner organizations aim to create a sustainable ecosystem for youth employability, professional development, and national socio-economic growth.

The programme is unique because it provides:

  • Hands-on work experience with public and private sector organizations
  • Mentorship opportunities with industry leaders and professionals
  • Comprehensive skills training in employability, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship
  • Career support for alumni through the NJFP Talent Hub

How the Fellowship Works

The journey of an NJFP Fellow is a structured process designed to ensure alignment between graduates and host organizations:

  1. Application
Graduates who have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possess an exemption certificate can apply online. Applicants must submit required documentation, including notarized degree certificates and NYSC certificates.
  2. Assessment and Selection
Eligible applicants undergo a computer-based aptitude test, submit a video presentation, and complete a psychometric assessment. These evaluations ensure that candidates are matched with suitable roles based on skills, competencies, and career goals.
  3. Onboarding and Placement
Once selected, applicants join the talent pool, build their professional profiles, and await placement with host organizations. Placement is based on a match between the Fellow’s skills and the host organization’s requirements within a specific geographic region.
  4. Work Placement
Fellows begin their 12-month paid work placements, contributing to real projects while gaining practical experience in their chosen career fields.
  5. Mentorship and Professional Growth
During the Fellowship, participants receive mentorship from experienced professionals and leaders. Fellows gain insights into workplace practices, improve their professional skills, and expand their networks.
  6. Alumni Talent Hub
After completing the paid Fellowship, graduates have the option to join the Talent Hub for an additional six months of unpaid career support, including guidance, training, and networking opportunities.
