The Google Startups for Sustainable Development Program 2025 is an initiative created to support visionary startups working toward the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). What Is the Program About?

Unlike traditional startup programs, this initiative is not time-bound. It prioritizes startups that have already moved beyond the idea stage and are ready to scale solutions that can make a measurable impact.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, startups must meet the following criteria:
- Impact-Focused: The startup must directly address one or more of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in a measurable way.
- Technology-Driven: The core product should be tech-based (software or hardware), preferably with an innovative edge like AI or data-driven solutions.
- Early Traction: Applicants should have at least a working Proof of Concept (PoC). A Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is a plus.
- Scalability: The business model should show the potential for large-scale growth and long-term impact.
- Strong Team: Startups must be for-profit and led by full-time, mission-driven founders.
Interested startups can apply via g.co/startups/sdg. After submitting an application, expect a response within 1 to 4 weeks. Shortlisted teams will be invited to an onboarding session.
