Erolld Belegu was born on March 14, 1966, in Prishtina, Kosovo. He did much of his growing up in Prishtina. There are no records of siblings or who his parents were.

Erolld Belegu attended Hasan Prishtina primary school, Xhevdet Doda secondary school in Gjimnazi, and later medical school, although we are not sure if he graduated from medical school because reports say he graduated from university with a degree in English and Literature from the University of Prishtina; he later went on to acquire a master’s in management from Iliria University.

Erolld Belegu started his career as a journalist with the Rilindja daily newspaper; he later became the managing director of a radio and television station. During the course of his career, he has held many positions. He was Vice President of AmCham Kosovo from 2010 to 2012, and he became the president from 2012 through 2014. He also served as the president of the Institute for Culture and Sport (INKUS).
He was the president of the Basketball Federation of Kosovo from 2006 to 2010; in 2013, he was re-elected, and the same in 2016-2020. He is a big-time businessman, founder of Marigona Residence and EBC Cosmetics. His first private venture was EB Cosmetics, and later in 2000, he founded a real estate company currently known as Marigona Residence. This company was the very same one that developed the first two branded hotels in Kosovo under a contract with the Sheraton and Marriott Groups.
