Organized in partnership by Concordia University and Hindsight Ventures, the AFRISE Challenge centers on the theme of “Rising African Economies.” It is tailored for ambitious young Africans aged 18–35 from countries including Nigeria, Uganda, Morocco, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal. The program seeks individuals or teams with scalable solutions addressing pressing issues across sectors such as:

Program Structure and Benefits
The AFRISE Challenge 2026 is structured to maximize growth, exposure, and entrepreneurial skills. Selected participants gain access to an 8-week accelerator program led by experienced founders, industry experts, and investors. The accelerator is designed to develop both leadership and business acumen, helping founders refine their ideas, scale their ventures, and prepare for funding opportunities.
Accelerator Program
30 high-potential founders will be selected for mentorship and training, receiving guidance on:
- Business strategy and planning
- Investor pitching and funding readiness
- Leadership and team management
- Scaling and sustainability strategies
This program leverages the expertise of Concordia University and Hindsight Ventures, providing access to a global network of mentors and domain specialists.
International Demo Day
The AFRISE Challenge culminates in a Virtual International Demo Day, where the Top 15 entrepreneurs pitch their ventures to early-stage investors and entrepreneurship support organizations. Participants gain exposure to both grant funding and equity-based investment opportunities, opening doors for growth beyond the accelerator program.

Each startup will receive over $600,000 in technology credits from leading partners such as:

- DigitalOcean
- FreshWorks
These credits enable startups to access cloud computing, design tools, productivity software, and other technology services essential for building and scaling a business.
