About the Diana Award
The Diana Award is one of the most respected global honors for young people. Established in memory of Princess Diana’s belief in the power of youth to change the world, the award recognizes individuals aged 16 to 24 who are transforming lives through social action, innovation, and advocacy.
Nominee Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 2026 Diana Award, nominees must:
- Be aged 16–24 years old at the time of nomination (they may be 25 when receiving the award).
- Have carried out at least 12 months of social action work with clear evidence of impact, commitment, and sustainability.
- Have a project or initiative aligned with at least one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) area:
- Quality Education – breaking barriers and empowering individuals.
- Reduced Inequality – challenging discrimination and promoting fairness.
- Good Health & Wellbeing – supporting mental and physical health.
- Climate Action – creating solutions to protect the planet.
Nominator and Supporter Requirements
Nominations must be submitted by someone who:
- Is over 18 years old and knows the nominee in a professional capacity.
- Is not a relative of the nominee.
- Can provide details of two supporters who will validate the nomination.
- Submits three pieces of supporting evidence, such as photos, videos, reports, or testimonials.
Supporters must also know the nominee professionally and provide a written statement in English confirming the nominee’s impact, credibility, and character.
