The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) is inviting youth-led organizations from eligible countries to apply for the 11th edition of the Youth Solidarity Fund (YSF). The initiative offers seed funding of up to $25,000 to support youth-driven projects that promote peace, social inclusion, and intercultural understanding.
Launched in 2008, the Youth Solidarity Fund was created in response to global youth voices calling for sustainable support systems for community action. Since its inception, the fund has invested $2.59 million in 80 youth-led initiatives across 43 countries, positively impacting over 3.4 million people worldwide.
YSF is designed exclusively for projects that are conceived, developed, and run by young people. These initiatives should focus on interfaith and intercultural dialogue, as well as efforts to foster mutual respect, combat identity-based conflict, and prevent violent extremism.

According to UNAOC High Representative, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, “Young people stand ready to mobilize action to make their communities more peaceful and socially inclusive. With the Youth Solidarity Fund, UNAOC supports them in their efforts to drive meaningful change.”
This year’s edition emphasizes empowering youth to:
- Address stigma, discrimination, and cultural misunderstandings.
- Promote religious and cultural tolerance.
- Encourage peacebuilding across communities.
- Tackle root causes of social division.
Youth-led organizations from eligible countries are encouraged to apply before 15 August. Detailed application guidelines, eligibility criteria, and submission instructions are available on the official website: https://apply.unaoc.org/youthsolidarityfund/
