The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women and Girls (UN Trust Fund) has announced its 2025 Call for Proposals, inviting civil society organizations (CSOs) around the world to submit impactful projects aimed at ending violence against women and girls.
This year’s theme, “Resourcing Resilience, Investing in Civil Society Leadership to End Violence against Women and Girls,” focuses on empowering feminist organizations to remain strong, sustainable, and effective in addressing gender-based violence despite global challenges.
About the 2025 Call for Proposals
Civil society organizations working at the forefront of women’s rights face increasing barriers such as shrinking civic space, growing opposition, and financial limitations. The 2025 UN Trust Fund Call seeks to close these gaps by providing long-term and flexible funding to initiatives that protect and empower women and girls globally.
Organizations can submit proposals in English, French, or Spanish, with grants of up to USD 800,000 available for a four-year project period.
Focus Areas
Proposals should focus on projects that contribute to one or more of the following outcome areas:
- Improving access for women and girls to quality, safe, and multisectoral services.
- Enhancing prevention efforts by changing harmful social norms, behaviors, and attitudes.
- Strengthening legislation, policies, and accountability systems that prevent and respond to violence against women and girls.
Priority will be given to initiatives that support structurally marginalized groups and promote the resilience of feminist and women-led organizations.
