She was born on December 25, 1994, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and is the fifth of six children. Ruby comes from Amaraku village in Isi-Ala Mbano L.G.A, Imo State, but she grew up in Port Harcourt with her siblings—three brothers and two sisters. Sadly, she lost one of her siblings.

Ruby is of Igbo descent. Her father, Mr. John Ojiakor, passed away 21 years ago when she was just 13. Since then, her mother, Mrs. Rose Ojiakor, has taken care of the family. In 2023, Ruby built a new house for her mother to appreciate her sacrifices over the years.
