National Peace Corps Association Editorial Fellowship 2025

The National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) Fellowship 2025 is a paid, four-month editorial fellowship designed to provide Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) with hands-on experience in journalism, storytelling, and digital media. This U.S.-only opportunity, running from October 2025 to January 2026, offers a $5,000 stipend for at least 20 hours of work per week.

About the Fellowship

NPCA is a national alumni network representing over 80,000 members and 250,000 Americans who have served in the U.S. Peace Corps since 1961. Through advocacy, networking, and publications, NPCA strengthens communities nationwide and promotes volunteerism and global engagement.

The NPCA Fellowship gives RPCVs a chance to produce and curate content for NPCA’s platforms, including WorldView magazine, digital newsletters, the NPCA website, and social media channels. This is an ideal role for early-career professionals passionate about global issues and the Peace Corps community.

Fellowship Details

  • Duration: October 2025 – January 2026
  • Time commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, write, and edit news stories, feature articles, and profiles.
  • Assist in planning and producing NPCA’s e-newsletters.
  • Develop and maintain website content using WordPress.
  • Create and schedule social media content for Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook.
  • Copyedit and proofread to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Design ads, graphics, and digital media content using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Edit photo and video content for publication.

Eligibility

  • Must be a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in journalism, editorial work, or digital content creation (graduate students with relevant skills may also apply).
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content strategies.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a remote team setting.
