ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) has officially opened the call for proposals for its FLOURISH Mentorship Grant, targeting Young Women-Led Organizations (WLOs) operating in humanitarian and emergency settings across Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY States).
This grant program is part of AAN’s broader FLOURISH Mentorship Programme, which aims to build the leadership and institutional capacity of underrepresented WLOs working in crisis-affected regions of Northeast Nigeria. Successful applicants will receive seed funding ranging from $500 to $1,000 to implement small-scale, community-driven humanitarian initiatives over three months (August to October 2025).
What the Grant Offers
The FLOURISH grant is not just financial support; it’s a practical opportunity for young women leaders to apply mentorship knowledge, strengthen internal systems, and address real humanitarian challenges in their communities.
Funded projects are expected to be gender-responsive, community-driven, and in alignment with humanitarian frameworks such as the Cluster System and Humanitarian Program Cycle.
Grant Objectives
- Help WLOs apply mentorship training through hands-on project implementation
- Encourage gender-inclusive and locally led humanitarian responses
- Improve organizational familiarity with humanitarian coordination systems
