Nayel was born on January 21, 1991, in Chicago but grew up in Kuwait. He returned to America years later for college. He grew up in an Egyptian household raised by parents Fouad Nassar and Iman Harby. His parents own an architecture firm in Kuwait (Diwan Interiors), and he has a sister named Layan. He speaks fluent Arabic, French and English.

In 2015, he established his own stables (Nassa Stables), this business is based in San Diego County in Southern California.

They got married on the 16th of October 2021 and are blessed with two beautiful baby girls. The first, named Leila, was born in March 2023, while the second, named Mia, was born in October 2024.
