Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, also known as NNN, is a Namibian politician who made history as the first female president of Namibia. She was born on October 29, 1952, in Onamutai, Oshana Region, Namibia. Before assuming the presidency on March 21, 2025, she served as the country’s vice president and held several ministerial positions throughout her career.

Nandi-Ndaitwah’s early education took place at St. Mary’s Mission in Odibo. She later pursued further studies in political and administrative fields. She earned a diploma in youth movement leadership from the Lenin Higher Komsomol School in the Soviet Union (1975–1976). She has been a member of Namibia’s National Assembly since 1990. She held numerous ministerial positions, including:

On December 3, 2024, she was declared the president-elect after securing 58.7% of the vote and was inaugurated on March 21, 2025.
