University of British Columbia Global Child Health Fellowship 2025-2026

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is inviting applications for the Postdoctoral Research Fellow Program 2025-2026. This opportunity is designed for early-career researchers with expertise in global child health, epidemiology, and digital health. The fellowship offers hands-on experience in large-scale health research programs focused on improving pediatric care in low-resource settings.

About the Program

The program builds on more than 15 years of implementation research through initiatives such as Smart Discharges Child, Smart Discharges Mom & Baby, and Smart Triage. These projects leverage evidence-based digital health tools to assist frontline healthcare workers in diagnosing, triaging, and discharging children with severe infections.

The upcoming stage of the program expands this work across multiple countries in East and West Africa, with rigorous evaluations planned. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the design, implementation, and analysis of innovative health interventions while spending significant time in Africa.
