Karenjit Kaur Vohra, popularly known as Sunny Leone, was born on May 13, 1981, in Sarnia, Ontario, to Sikh Indian Punjabi parents. As a child, she described herself as a tomboy who was very athletic and enjoyed playing street hockey with boys.

When she was 13, her family moved to Fort Gratiot, Michigan, and a year later, they relocated to Lake Forest, California, fulfilling her grandparents’ wish for the family to live together.
